"The Way You Look Tonight" by the Jaguars Words by: Dorothy Fields Music by: Jerome Kern Universal-Polygram International Publishing (ASCAP) The Songwriters Guild (ASCAP) This is my interpretation of the Jaguars version (the best recorded). Its probably not exactly right. I use the bar chords, playing the Eb at the 6th fret, the Cm at the 3rd fret, the Ab at the 4th fret and the Bb7 at the 6th fret. The bridge just moves the same progression up 3 frets. Intro Cm Ab Bb7 ____________________________________ __4___4___4___4____4___4____6___6___ _5___5___5___5____5___5____7___7____ 5___5___5___5____6___6____6___6_____ ____________________________________ ____________________________________ You can play this during the verses adding the Eb When you do this, each triplet gets two plays - Eb Cm Ab Bb7 _____________________________________ __8___8____4___4____4___4____6___6___ _8___8____5___5____5___5____7___7____ 8___8____5___5____6___6____6___6_____ _____________________________________ _____________________________________ or, just play the chords. The same pattern repeats all through the song, cycling evenly, 1 chord per bar, with one exception, noted.
