The following is my arrangement of Black Orphues. A
number of people have e-mailed me about tabbing it
out, so I finally took a stab at it. I have a few
disclaimers about this tab: I wasn^�t ambitious or
patient enough to sit down with the CD and figure out
exactly how I did it on the recording. This is based
on memory, and how I do it today, which is probably
pretty close. I also didn^�t go to any length to get
every little thing, particularly any percussive
things. It^�s more of an outline really. As for tips:
Left hand fingering is very important. As a rule, let
things ring as long as possible, particularly the two
bass notes in each bar, so build your fingerings
around that. The bass notes always fall on beat one
and three ( even if they don^�t appear that way in the
tab ), so everything else should fall into place
rhythmically if you can make that happen. Lastly, the
chord names I^�ve included refer to the overall
harmony, and or the original chart. In many cases the
actual chord I play will be an inversion, an
extension, or something else all together. Be sure to
put this into the font ^�courier^� to make everything
